El propósito de esta tesis es el conocimiento integral del manuscrito 1 Azul de la
Academia das Ciências (manuscrito L) que contiene una copia de la Crónica Geral de
Espanha de 1344. Para ello, serán confrontados los canales textual y pictórico a modo
de comprender la convivencia de ambos en el ámbito del manuscrito.
A menudo se ha subrayado el carácter singular del grupo pictórico del manuscrito
L, por este motivo, la búsqueda de modelos artísticos ha sido una de los grandes pilares
de esta investigación.
El análisis del contexto histórico, así como del Zeitgeist alrededor del códice de la
Academia das Ciências, permitieron, además, reconsiderar el promotor del manuscrito L.
The aim of this thesis is a comprehensive study of ms. 1 Azul of Academia das Ciências (manuscript L) which contains a copy of Crónica Geral de Espanha de 1344. For this purpose, both channels, textual and pictorial, will be subjects of comparison to comprehend their coexistence in the manuscript. The singularity of the manuscript´s pictorial program has been underlined frequently. For this reason, the research of its artistic models has been one of the giant pillars of this study. The study of the historical context and the Zeitgeist surrounding the codex of Academia das Ciências, allowed, moreover, to reconsider the patron of L.
