No contexto atual, o tema dos transportes públicos, na sua associação à mobilidade
e acessibilidade urbana, tem vindo a ganhar particular importância no combate às
alterações climáticas e na forma de promover uma cidade mais justa e equitativa.
A melhoria da oferta de transporte público, com diferentes tipos de serviços, sistemas
tarifários e serviços são medidas importantes para uma maior utilização do transporte
coletivo em detrimento do individual. Ao nível político assistimos a múltiplas
mudanças que resultam maioritariamente em ganhos de utilizadores como, por
exemplo, o novo sistema tarifário na Área Metropolitana de Lisboa (AML). Ao nível
académico, assistimos a discussões sobre a estruturação do sistema de transportes
na vida urbana e na qualidade de vida das pessoas, bem como as consequências
ambientais, económicas e sociais.
O objetivo deste trabalho passou por analisar a introdução das Carreiras de Bairro na
cidade de Lisboa, verificando se contribuíram para a melhoria da acessibilidade
interna das freguesias e se ao mesmo tempo, complementou a rede geral de carreiras
da capital. Com base em dois casos de estudo, a carreira 70B e 79B, foi possível
concluir que os percursos alternativos deste novo serviço, contribuíram para a
acessibilidade interna ao nível das freguesias, bem como para a satisfação das
necessidades de deslocação dos residentes.
In the present context, the theme of public transport, from the perspective of urban mobility and accessibility, has been gaining particular importance in the fight against climate change and in the way of promoting a fairer and more equitable city. The improvement in the offer of public transport, with different types of services, tariff system and stopovers are important measures for a greater use of public transport to the detriment of the individual. At the political level, we have observed multiple changes that mostly result in user gains, such as, for example, the new tariff system at Lisbon Metropolitan Area. At the academic level, we have observed discussions about the structuring of the transport system in urban life and people's quality of life, as well as the environmental, economic and social consequences. This work aimed to analyse the introduction of Carreiras de Bairro in the city of Lisbon, verifying if they contributed to the improvement of the internal accessibility of the parishes and at the same time, complemented the universal bus network in the capital. Based on two case studies, bus 70B and 79B, it was possible to conclude that the alternative routes of this new service, contributed to the internal accessibility at the parish level, as well as to satisfy the displacement needs of residents.
