Recentemente, os contos de fadas têm sido integrados em diversos setores da atividade humana. Perante uma realidade incerta, cujas estruturas sociais são submetidas a constantes mudanças, os indivíduos procuram elementos familiares que transmitam segurança. Assim sendo, estas estórias são percecionadas enquanto zona de conforto, na medida em que acarretam símbolos e discursos presentes na memória coletiva.
É visível uma presença acentuada destas narrativas na área da comunicação, desde campanhas publicitárias ao jornalismo digital. O recurso aos contos de fadas como enquadramento da ação comunicativa é especialmente notório quando a temática se trata do lifestyle, o que leva à introdução da seguinte questão: Qual o papel dos contos de fadas nos meios de comunicação de estilos de vida?
A presente dissertação propõe explorar a relação entre estes dois elementos, procurando desvendar aquilo que os une. Através da articulação dos dados teóricos com a análise de casos concretos, espera-se alcançar pistas que permitam responder à questão de partida.
Recently, fairytales have been integrated into multiple sectors of human activity. Given the uncertain reality we live in, with social structures facing constant changes, people look for familiar elements that are able to transmit security. Thus, these stories are perceived as a comfort zone, since they carry symbols and discourses present in the collective memory. It is evident that these narratives have strong presence in the communication field, from advertising campaigns to digital journalism. Fairytales are used as framing for many communication actions, especially when the topic is related to lifestyle, which leads to the following question: What is the role of fairytales in lifestyle media? This dissertation aims to explore the relationship between these two elements, seeking to understand what unites them. Articulating the theoretical data with the analysis of real cases should lead to clues that help us answer the initial question.
