Abstract: This article is the evidence of an educational practice regarding an approach on contemporary art at first level of basic education, having as a starting point the Annual Project with Schools “Pictures of the Body” from the Serralves Foundation. One can conclude that Artistic Education strenghtens and valorizes the development of creativity, of the critical and aesthetic sense and of the collaborative work among peers
