Resumo(s)

This dissertation aims to promote a reflection about drawing, as an expression, under the light of the Friedrich Nietzsche’s tragic thought, specifically the [Apollonian and Dionysian] fundamental concepts from “The Birth of Tragedy” book [ Die Geburt der Tragödie aus dem Geiste der Musik , 1872 ]. The orientation instruments used were the works of Heinrich Wolfflin, Wassily Kandinsky, Theodor W. Adorno, Gilbert Durand among others, in addition to the works of various artists, illustrating how the drawing expression [Apollonian, Dionysian and Tragic] manifests itself. Such instruments are methodologically operated through a literature and iconographic review guided by the symbolic hermeneutics of Ricoeur.
