Motivado pelo estado atual do Vale de Alcântara enquanto infraestrutura e
território desconexo, o presente trabalho visa imaginar o território, evocando
memórias de Alcântara e Vales agrícolas, para criar ambientes sustentáveis na
cidade para um futuro resiliente. No novo conceito de Vale, a ribeira é trazida de volta
à superfície, tornando-se um elemento estruturante da projeção do parque urbano
linear, priorizando a regeneração do ecossistema urbano para produção alimentar e
prevenção de cheias.
O objetivo primordial consiste em restaurar as condições naturais deste
vale, substituindo e otimizando as infraestruturas existentes, para dar lugar
novamente à ribeira e aos campos agrícolas geradores de recursos, económico e
culturais nas zonas férteis do Vale, disponíveis para a cidade de Lisboa, criando
vivencias, ligando Lisboa a um corredor verde estruturante.
O novo parque linear articula-se com a malha urbana desenhando uma nova
frente urbana do Vale, sendo que o projeto a uma escala mais aproximada
desenvolve-se num terreno baldio no Bairro da Liberdade, será observada a
colmatação das diferentes áreas fragmentadas, de modo a articular este novo Vale
de Alcântara com a restante cidade já consolidada, criando novas zonas
habitacionais, diversificadas e inclusivas que consolidam uma nova frente edificada e
caracterizante do espaço e identidade do Vale.
O projeto urbano visa desenvolver ‘habitats’ ambientais contemporâneos,
social e economicamente sustentáveis através da escolha de materiais (pedra e
madeira) e da aplicação de princípios arquitetónicos bioclimáticos no uso de
materiais reutilizáveis. Assim como desenvolver proposta de habitação de carácter
evolutivo, de forma às habitações se ajustarem as necessidades dos ocupantes e não
vise versa. Este trabalho pretende demonstrar o grande potencial do Vale de
Alcântara para uma nova leitura da cidade de Lisboa e o papel exemplar que esta
pode desempenhar no futuro do país, permitindo um desenvolvimento urbano
sustentável de impacto mobilizador.
Motivated by the current state of Vale de Alcântara as infrastructure and disconnected territory, this work aims to imagine the territory, evoking memories of Alcântara and agricultural valleys, to create sustainable environments in the city for a resilient future. In the new Vale concept, the stream is brought back to the surface, becoming a structuring element in the projection of the linear urban park, prioritizing the regeneration of the urban ecosystem for food production and flood prevention. The primary objective is to restore the natural conditions of this valley, replacing and optimizing the existing infrastructures, to make way again for the riverside and the agricultural fields that generate economic and cultural resources in the fertile areas of the Valley, available to the city of Lisbon, creating experiences, linking Lisbon to a structuring green corridor. The new linear park articulates with the urban fabric, designing a new urban front of the Valley, and the project at a closer scale is developed in a vacant lot in Bairro da Liberdade, the clogging of the different fragmented areas will be observed, so to articulate this new Alcântara Valley with the rest of the already consolidated city, creating new residential areas, diversified and inclusive that consolidate a new built front and characterizing the space and identity of the Valley. The urban project aims to develop contemporary, socially and economically sustainable environmental habitats through the choice of materials (stone and wood) and the application of bioclimatic architectural principles in the use of reusable materials. As well as developing an evolutionary housing proposal, so that the housing adjusts to the needs of the occupants and not vice versa. This work intends to demonstrate the great potential of the Alcântara Valley for a new reading of the city of Lisbon and the exemplary role that it can play in the future of the country, allowing a sustainable urban development with a mobilizing impact.
