Abstract(s)

In this work that begin from an artistic practice, from a project entitled “A Certain Idea of a Natural History” developed in recent years, in a Natural History Museum, which extended to the landscape and space of the studio, characterise a form of making and thinking about art. It is my intention in this project, develop ideas that look at the act of making and how creative processes are carried out. The theoretical part of the pro-ject is intended to be diaristic in character and writing becomes a space for reflection of (my) creative process. It is my intention to divide my research into three moments; The first will be about my work process and the use of various media to create a visual language and an artistic discourse in installations that use photography, video, objects, photography books and video essays. The second moment is about methods and concepts that I use in my practice, talking about theoretical and practical examples of accumu-lation and juxtaposition of images such as Aby Warburg’s Atlas Mnemosyne and Jean Luc Godard’s “Histoire(s) du Cinema”, the idea Assembly and Fragmented Narrative present in the work of Didi-Huberman and the work of Harun Farocki, to understand History or as a form of poetic response to the world. Finally, the implications and themes addressed in the practical work, the importance of the Archive, the simulacrum, the di-ary process as a creative practice, the curiosity cabinets as a form of accumulation and pre-museums, the way we look at the Landscape and the urgency of a new ecology.
