During the curricular internship held in the Portuguese clothing brand whose name is Béhen, I intended to analyze and understand the operation of the brand - that is to say the work process, the identity, the media - which aims to have the least ecological footprint possible and value the Portuguese handicraft. I was in charge of the most creative part of the brand that involves embroidery designs. This means conducting a research on each technique that was used in the various projects developed during the internship period. After the research was complete, I had to draw the embroidery of the pieces. Added to this is the part of social networks, with the creation of content to be published. In addition, I performed day-to-day tasks in relation to the studio. After analyzing the operation of the brand, I had intended to understand what is the relationship between Béhen and Portuguese handicrafts, how the brand uses these references on its clothes. For this I used several methodological tools to be able to perceive this relationship and its transmission. In the first phase, the exploratory phase, I used two methods. Collection and review of pertinent literature, which allowed to collect as much information as possible. A contextual survey was also conducted to the founder and designer of Béhen, Joana Duarte, to learn about the brand’s working method and its work process. In the generative phase was created a moodboard about the different styles of embroidery used in the collections, explored several possibilities of new visuals. From these ideas, new designs were made to be able to evaluate and confirm whether they belong to the aesthetics and identity of Béhen. The result i wanted to get was to really understand how Portuguese handicrafts are protected and used by the brand, and to be able to contribute to the development of the new collections by respecting the values, aesthetics and identity of Béhen
