A negligĂȘncia emocional infantil pode ter consequĂȘncias graves para o desenvolvimento emocional e sociocognitivo da criança, estendendo-se atĂ© a vida adulta e afetando a forma da pessoa se relacionar consigo e com o outro. A presente investigação pretende entender qual o impacto da negligĂȘncia emocional infantil na repetição de padrĂ”es no adulto. Foi aplicado um questionĂĄrio sociodemogrĂĄfico, seguido da subescala de NegligĂȘncia emocional e o Ăndice de negação do Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ-SF), o Parental Bonding Instrument (PBI), a Escala de AutocompaixĂŁo e a Escala da CompaixĂŁo a uma amostra de 134 participantes. Os resultados obtidos demonstram nĂveis mais elevados de negligĂȘncia emocional quando a vinculação com os pais Ă© insegura e quando ambos os pais sĂŁo considerados como negligentes. Para alĂ©m disso, a presença de negligĂȘncia emocional na infĂąncia tem um impacto negativo na capacidade de autocompaixĂŁo no adulto. Estes resultados sĂŁo discutidos e analisados atravĂ©s da Copy Process Theory.
Child emotional neglect can have serious consequences on the child's emotional and socio cognitive development, extending into adulthood, affecting the way the person relates to himself and to others. The present investigation aims to study the impact of c hildhood emotional neglect on the repetition of patterns in adult hood . A sociodemographic questionnaire, followed by the Emotional Neglect subscale and the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ SF) denial index, the Parental Bonding Instrument (PBI), the Sel f Compassion Scale and the Compassion Scale were applied to a sample of 134 participants. The results obtained demonstrate higher levels of emotional neglect when the attachment with the parents is insecure and when both parents are considered negligent. F urthermore, the presence of emotional neglect in childhood has a negative impact on the capacity of self compassion in adults. These results are discussed and analyzed through the Copy Process Theory.
