O tratamento de dados desempenha um papel essencial para garantir a qualidade e
integridade dos dados, especialmente numa altura em que as bases de dados estão
cada vez mais carregadas com quantidades volumosas de informação. Este relatório
consiste no tratamento de dados da Base Geográfica de edifícios do Instituto Nacional
de Estatística através do uso de sistemas de gestão de bases de dados relacionais.
Para assegurar a consistência da informação foi necessário realizar validações de
dados, internas e externas, que permitam comparar a informação da base de dados
com dados que sejam reais e de qualidade assegurada e entender se a utilização do
dashboard do ArcGIS pode ser uma ferramenta útil para criar uma representação
gráfica dos dados com o objetivo de facilitara análise e tomada de decisões.
Data processing plays an essential role in ensuring the quality and integrity of data, especially at a time when databases are increasingly loaded with large amounts of information. This report consists of the processing of data from the Geographical Database of buildings of the National Institute of Statistics using relational database management systems. To ensure the consistency of the information, it is necessary to carry out internal and external data validations that allow the information in the database to be compared with data that is true and of assured quality and to understand whether the use of the ArcGIS dashboard can be used to create a graphical representation of the data so that it can help in analysis and decision-making.
