As relações sino-angolanas têm vindo a se intensificar de uma forma exponencial na última década, ao ponto de a China ser um dos maiores financiadores do Estado angolano e este ser um dos principais abastecedores de petróleo de Pequim. Ao analisar o tipo de relação existente entre os dois países, através da consulta da literatura científica especializada e de informação económica relevante, esta dissertação conclui que as relações sino-angolanas têm vindo a abandonar o paradigma da hegemonia das grandes potências mundiais para um outro de
maior dependência mútua, tendência essa que se deverá acentuar à medida que o petróleo
escassear nos mercados internacionais.
China - Angola relations have been growing exponentially for the last ten years, placing China among the leading financial backers of the Angolan state and Angola as one of the leading oil suppliers of China. This study analyses the specifics of this relationship with the help of specialized scientific literature and relevant economic information, and concludes that Sino – Angolan relationship has been evolving from the hegemonic superpowers paradigm to one of increasing mutual dependence. This study also stresses that such dependence will be strengthened by the steady decrease of global oil reserves.
