Abstract(s)
In this project, through the analysis of an unpublished author’s notebook (ANSA-C-3 and ANSA-C-25 in the Almada Negreiros and Sarah Affonso Archive), the aim is to describe how Almada Negreiros understood and developed results in geometry, appropriating and manipulating mathematical language and narrative for the construction of his work. In this notebook, Almada presents, in an organized and cumulative manner, geometric drawings that constitute a coherent geometric discourse, following rules he established, sometimes even leading to the production of original geometric results.
