Re-imaginar a linha de água surge na oportunidade de repensar e recriar o território do Cais do Ginjal, revitalizando os espaços urbanos da frente ribeirinha de Almada, dando uma nova imagem, mantendo assim a relação cidade/rio.
A utopia e a metamorfose trazem um olhar crítico para a interpretação do lugar, no sentido de preservar memória e conceber história na cidade de Almada. A presente relação cidade/rio que se faz sentir, reflete que é necessário continuar a mantê-la. Nasce assim a fondamenta do Cais do Ginjal, pelos seus elementos presentes como os cais e os miradouros, cultivando a ligação com o rio Tejo e com toda a margem sul.
Reimagining the waterline comes with the opportunity to rethink, recreate the territory of Cais do Ginjal and revitalize the urban spaces on the riverfront of Almada, giving a new image and maintaining the relationship between the city and the river. Utopia and metamorphosis bring a critical look to the interpretation of the place, in the sense of preserving memory and conceiving history in the city of Almada. The current relationship between the city and the river, that is being felt, reflects the continuous need to maintain it. The “fondamenta” of the Cais do Ginjal is born, due to its present elements such as the quays and the viewpoints, cultivating the connection with the Tagus River and with the entire south bank.
