The present study aims to be a contribution for the study of Carlos Augusto
Lyster Franco's drawing.We've tried to clarified and understood is drawing's typology by studying it as a consequence of it's own context. Through the analysis of it's work we were able to disclose is codified draughtsman self portrait accomplishing part of the biographical aim of this study, and, by following is path (from student to teacher) I've also reached the right and the space to reflect on some of drawing's most general questions - specially the ones concerning it's teaching in the XIX century
