O presente trabalho pretende dar a conhecer os resultados preliminares da intervenção arqueológica realizada no edifício n.º 27-29 da Rua de Pedrouços, freguesia de Santa Maria de Belém, Lisboa, em 2014.
A escavação foi levada a cabo no interior e jardim tardoz de um edifício de habitação datado da primeira metade do século XX, para o qual se havia inicialmente projectado um piso dec ave, entretanto abandonado devido à presença de vestígios arqueológicos. A execução de quatro sondagens de diagnóstico permitiu documentar, em três delas, materiais cerâmicos enquadráveis na Pré-História Recente. A descoberta do sítio reveste-se de particular importância, tanto no que se refere ao conhecimento da rede de povoamento desta região durante a Pré-História Recente, como no que à gestão do património arqueológico e processos de obra diz respeito, uma vez que, até então, não eram conhecidos quaisquer vestígios daquele período nesta zona da cidade.
The purpose of this presentation is to make known the results of the preliminary archaeological intervention carried out in the building no. 27-29, Rua de Pedrouços, Santa Maria de Belém, Lisbon, in 2014. The excavation was carried out in the interior and back garden of a residential building dating back to the first half of the twentieth century, for which it is planned the construction of one floor of basement for parking, which, possibly, will not be built due to the archaeological findings. The implementation of four test pits allowed to document Prehistoric ceramic materials in three of the pits. The discovery of the site is of particular importance because of the knowledge of the prehistoric site distribution in this region, as well as in the management of the archaeological heritage, since, until then, there were no known traces of that period in this part of town.
