Resumo(s)

The present master’s research will be an elucidation of the problematic of the stylistic incoherence in comics, that has occurred during the accomplishment of an album of this type. This problem will be observed from the original work of the author produced for the master’s degree in Drawing, and from other authors. For a better understanding, it will be made an analysis to the work of authors whose work revealed incoherence of two types. The first emerges from a natural drawing evolution verifiable in longer comic series, where we proceed to the analysis of the work of Charles Schulz and Quino; and the second as a result of an intentionality that intends to add a deeper meaning or interpretation, through its graphics, where we will approach the authors Jean Giraud / Moebius, Dave Mc Kean and Tony Sandoval. We will also follow the making of a comic book album, which is called In Tangerine’s Notebook, published by the publisher "Escorpião Azul" and which integrates the practical part of this dissertation. This report will cover all stages of the project, from the initial idea, the creation of the script or storyboard, to the definition of the style and the theoretical questions they imply, as well as the problems that arose during the course of the project, which were graphical incoherences of both types. It will be hypothesized that whether this factor is really a problem or is it completely natural in an artist’s career and even something to be availed. We will proceed to a reflection on the final result of this comic book album
