Resumo(s)
O stylist, sendo um contador de histórias, encontra no audiovisual a sua tela
em branco. É através dos figurinos que a magia acontece e se transmite uma
narrativa visual.
Desta forma, considera-se a área dos figurinos, o objeto de estudo mais
pertinente, visando uma melhor análise e entendimento do papel que o styling
tem neste ramo. Afinal este é um dos meios através do qual se transmite uma
narrativa ou mensagem, na moda. Esta narrativa é materializada mediante
um leque de elementos fundamentais para uma divulgação clara. Estes
podem ser desde peças de roupa, acessórios, adereços, maquilhagem,
cenário, entre outros.
O estilo de um autor numa narrativa refere-se à maneira única através do
qual este escreve e narra uma história. O estilo é influenciado por uma
variedade de fatores, incluindo a sua personalidade, vivências e educação. É
pelas mesmas linhas que um figurinista opera.
Posto isto, o intuito da investigação prende-se não só com a análise de
várias formas de comunicação de moda, mas também com o decifrar de
signos e símbolos, no contexto da criação de figurinos.
Esta dissertação, ao ser teórico-prática, tem a seu favor a aquisição de uma
perspetiva prática. Esta provém de um estágio académico com a stylist Mia
Lourenço e conta também com uma vertente teórica que visa a explicação de
conceitos essenciais para a compreensão deste estudo.
Espera-se que resulte desta investigação um conhecimento mais
abrangente sobre o trabalho de um stylist e elementos que este deve
considerar, para que a comunicação seja mais eficaz.
Stylist, being a storyteller, finds its blank canvas in the audiovisual. It isthrough the costumes that the magic happens and a visual narrative istransmitted. Thus, the area of costume design is considered the most pertinent object ofstudy, aiming at a better analysis and understanding of the role that stylinghas in this field. After all, this is one of the means through which a narrative ormessage is transmitted, in fashion. This narrative is materialized through arange of fundamental elements for a clear dissemination. These can be frompieces of clothing, accessories, props, makeup, scenery, among others. An author's style in a narrative refers to the unique way in which they writeand narrate a story. Style is influenced by a variety of factors, including yourpersonality, experiences, and upbringing. It is along the same lines that acostume designer operates. That said, the purpose of the research is related not only to the analysis ofvarious forms of fashion communication, but also to the deciphering of signsand symbols, in the context of the creation of costumes. This dissertation, beingtheoretical-practical, has in its favor the acquisition of a practical perspective.This comes from an academic internship with the stylist Mia Lourenço and alsohas a theoretical aspect that aims to explain essential concepts for theunderstanding of this study. It is hoped that this research will result in a more comprehensive knowledgeabout the work of a stylist and elements that he should consider, so thatcommunication is more effective.
