| dc.description.abstract | A existência de objectos da ourivesaria da prata religiosa de produção espanhola em Portugal, desde da Idade Média à contemporaneidade, assume particular relevância no período balizado pela presença Dinastia de Habsburgo na coroa portuguesa (1580-1640), contribuindo para a oficialização desse fenómeno artístico, em particular no seio da Igreja Portuguesa. Os conjuntos identificados em Portugal, resultam da vontade expressa do Clero Paroquial e de personalidades destacadas da Igreja nacional, de distintos processos para a aquisição de peças de ourivesaria em Espanha, os quais diferem quanto às motivações, aos encargos, à eleição de centros de produção e na escolha dos ourives, critérios que vimos reforçados pelo contributo das inexistências de objectos argênteos espanhóis em território português. A presença de um conjunto significativo de peças de ourivesaria de produção espanhola em Portugal, acabaria por influênciar a produção nacional, mais do que de forma integral por via da reprodução de determinados elementos identitários da produção espanhola. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The existence of Spanish-produced religious silverware in Portugal from the Middle Ages to the present day is particularly relevant in the period marked by the presence of the Habsburg Dynasty in the Portuguese crown (1580-1640), contributing to the officialization of this artistic phenomenon, particularly within the Portuguese Church. The sets identified in Portugal are the result of the express wish of the parish clergy and prominent personalities of the national Church, which materialised through different processes for the acquisition of goldsmith's wares in Spain, differing in their motivations, costs, choice of production centres and choice of goldsmiths, criteria which we have seen reinforced by the non-existence of Spanish silverware in Portuguese territory. The presence of a significant number of pieces of Spanish goldsmithery in Portugal would end up influencing national production, more than in an integral way, through the reproduction of certain identifying elements of Spanish production. | pt_PT |
