Resumo(s)
This paper discusses the work of the Portuguese artist Alexandre Farto (Vhils), which takes place on the public space through the excavations of superimposed layers on walls revealing the city’s enclosed stories. Therefore, this study examines how his relation with the urban space led him to construct his poetic, inquiring about his association with the public space, just as his artistic practice that uses the space itself as a pilar. This paper also analyses the relation with the observer, building connections with phenomenological concepts, and with the ethnographic look enclosed on the making of public art on the contemporaneity
