Abstract(s)
A pertinência
as escolhas profissionais e familiares.
Contemporary work configurations, demands for flexibility and precariousness of workers bring to light questions about family construction. The sociological relevance of this theme arises when expanding the debate about family studies, connecting it to the working conditions that shape the reality of many women today. Its main objective focuses on the identification of devices that affect professional and family choices. The empirical study was developed around women cultural producers in Portugal. Methodologically, we opted for a qualitative research of discourse analysis, based on the technique of semi-structured interviews with women who work in cultural production in Portugal. The research results allow us to reflect on the maintenance of gender inequality at work and the consequences for family construction.
