Esta análise teórica teve por objectivo identificar evidências e perspectivas teóricas, na área de
investigação da psicologia da arte (sobretudo da psicologia da literatura e do cinema), que possam
fundamentar e demarcar os limites do pressuposto de que a “leitura” de narrativas ficcionais pode
desenvolver competências de cuidado. Especificamente, a análise efectuada centra-se nas evidências e
teorias que fundamentam e demarcam o potencial impacto da referida “leitura” na atenção individualizada
e concentrada ao paciente, na empatia, na estruturação da aliança pessoal, na precisão da avaliação, na
personalização do cuidado prestado e na construção de uma identidade alinhada com estas competências.
The goal of this theoretical analysis was to identify evidences and theoretical perspectives in the area of psychology of art (especially in the psychology of literature and cinema), which can base ground and demarcate the limits of the assumption that “reading” fictional narratives can develop caring skills in professionals with such responsibility. Specifically, the analysis focused on the evidences and theories that underlie and demarcate the potential impact of this “reading” on an individualized and concentrated attention to the patient, empathy, alliance, evaluation accuracy, personalization of care and construction of an identity aligned with these competencies.
