políticas europeias e nacionais sobre o mar, águas interiores, ambiente e turismo;
The intership at the Comissão de Coordenação e Desenvolvimento Regional de Lisboa e Vale do Tejo (CCDR LVT) was inserted in the "Rotas do Tejo" project as a contribution to the Region of Lisboa e Vale do Tejo’s (RLVT) Maritime Agenda, with a vision for tourism development in the concerned region. Tourism, as an economic sector, has come to stand out as the main source of income in many regions, taking advantage of its natural resources. The significant investment in this field despite advantageous for the locations in question, became a threat to the environment, since its use was not always made in a sustainable way. Thus appearing in this report is the region’s potential for tourism; with a specific study on the survey information about the coastal areas of nine municipalities of Vale do Tejo, linking this research with sustainable development goals. The objective of the internship concerned boosting this particular area, therefore, the proposed tasks were performed in the following steps: searching for information on the European and national policies regarding the sea, water, environment and tourism; collection and analysis of data relating the RLVT; elaboration of possible lines of action and actions to be undertaken; recommending financial sources. For a better awareness of the area proposed for the case study, a survey and gathering of information were performed, organizing the latter in descriptive tables followed by an analysis of the local reality. When designing this data it was possible to make a proposal for funding sources, compatible with European and national funds. This report seeks to understand what measures have been takenrelated to the sea and inland waters, bothat European and national levels, in order to implement EU directives learned during the Masters’ degree, to the work done during the intership at the instituitionabove mencioned. The relationship between tourism and the environment led to the creation of sustainable actions that could be implemented with the lowest possible impact on the area of study.
