Este projeto foca-se no estudo do papel que a tecnologia pode exercer na criação de práticas mais
efetivas de comunicação escola-família, realizando-se em 2015/2016 numa escola básica dos 2.º e 3.º
ciclos do concelho de Odemira, envolvendo a totalidade das turmas da escola.
“Que papel pode assumir a plataforma de comunicação Edmodo na «comunicação escola-família»?”
surge como questão orientadora em torno do qual se desenvolve este projeto.
Partindo das características do público-alvo, identificadas numa fase de diagnóstico, pretendeu-se
adequar as estratégias e metodologias de comunicação mediada por plataformas online às diversas
situações em causa.
O estudo abrangeu 66 alunos, 14 professores e 31 pais de 5 turmas do 5º ao 9º ano, e permitiu constatar
que a plataforma Edmodo se apresenta como um meio seguro e eficaz de estabelecer a comunicação
entre a escola e a família. O tipo de comunicação estabelecido, no contexto deste projeto, permitiu às
famílias estar mais informadas acerca dos conteúdos trabalhados na sala de aula, possibilitando aos
pais perceber como orientar melhor o estudo diário dos alunos. Os alunos sentiram uma maior
proximidade por parte dos seus pais no que às suas atividades escolares diz respeito, tendo os
professores valorizado sobretudo o facto do projeto ter criado padrões mais regulares de comunicação
com as famílias.
O projeto permitiu ainda compreender melhor os fatores restritivos que atualmente se encontram a
perturbar a comunicação e colaboração entre as esferas escolar e familiar, ambas tão relevantes na vida
dos alunos.
This project is focused on a study of the role that technology can play in creating more effective practices of school-family communication in a basic school of the 2nd and 3rd cycles from Odemira, involving all classes of the school. "What role can take Edmodo communication platform in the «home-school communication»?" emerges as guiding question around which develops this project. Starting from the characteristics of the target audience, identified in the diagnostic phase, the aim was to adjust the strategies and methodologies communication mediated online platforms to various situations at issue. The study covers 66 students, 14 teachers and 31 parents of 5 classes from 5th to 9th grade, and it allowed to establish that the Edmodo platform presents itself as a safe and effective means of establishing communication between the school and the family. The type of communication established in the context of this project allowed families to be more informed about the contents worked in the classroom, enabling parents to understand how better guide the daily study of the students. The students felt a greater proximity by their parents in what their school activities is concerned, having the teachers prized mainly the fact that the project has created more regular patterns of communication with families. The project also helped to better understand the restrictive factors that currently disturb communication and collaboration between school and family spheres, both so relevant in the life of students.
