O presente relatório tem por objetivo uma descrição e análise pormenorizada
das questões linguísticas de tradução, encontradas durante o trabalho efetuado no
Clube Intercultural Europeu, realizado no âmbito do estágio profissional do Mestrado
em Tradução da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa, no primeiro e segundo
semestres de 2014-15.
No contexto do estágio, procedeu-se à tradução de documentos da área da
educação, que abordaram diferentes temas, sendo que as questões de tradução
encontradas serviram de base a reflexões diversificadas.
Registe-se que a análise das questões de tradução do presente relatório recai
fundamentalmente sobre problemas tradutórios com que me deparei nos três guias
traduzidos durante o estágio, que constituíram um corpus suficientemente rico para
suscitar reflexões de diversa ordem. Apesar de ter sido efetuado no contexto do
estágio também um trabalho de tradução audiovisual, foram escolhidos para análise
apenas três guias, com o intuito de realizar um relatório coeso e coerente, no plano
científico.
Desta forma, o presente relatório tem como objetivo principal evidenciar, em
primeiro lugar, quais as características principais dos guias e, analisar em maior
detalhe, que problemas de tradução poderão ser encontrados neste tipo de textos e
quais as soluções tradutórias por mim encontradas.
Tendo em vista este propósito elabora-se igualmente um breve
enquadramento teórico das questões linguísticas que servirão de base para os temas e
questões abordadas ao longo deste relatório.
Espera-se, portanto, conseguir um documento que dê conta das análises dos
textos em questão e que englobam as funções textuais presentes nos guias, as
estratégias de tradução utilizadas, os processos de transferência lexical ou a presença de outras funções que caracterizam os textos aqui referidos.
This report aims at a description and detailed analysis of translation issues encountered during the work done in the Clube Intercultural Europeu, held under the professional internship of the Master in Translation, Faculty of Arts, University of Lisbon. This internship aimed at the translation of documents related to the field of education although it addresses other subjects. After a selection of the translated documents, these will serve as the basis for the development of this report. The analysis made in this report is based fundamentally on issues found in three translated guides during the internship that constitute a very rich corpus for further analysis. Although it had been done audiovisual translation work too, we chose three guides in order to accomplish a cohesive report and a common goal. Thus, this report aims to demonstrate, firstly, the main features of a guide and in greater detail and, secondly, the translation problems that can be found in such texts, followed by some of the proposed solutions. Hence, we also present brief theoretical descriptions as basis for the subjects and issues addressed in this report. Therefore, we expect to achieve a document that will serve the purpose of doing a better analysis of the texts in question. This analysis include the notions of equivalence, the textual functions of the guides, translation strategies used, processes of lexical transfer or the presence of other features that characterize the texts referred to herein.
