Mouraria is an historical neighbourhood in Lisbon with very special features. In it we can find a convenient interaction between old inhabitants, a new generation of gentrifiers and diverse waves of immigrants. There are more than 51 different nationalities living and working there daily. It is in this context that the project Migrantour – Intercultural Urban Routes is developed with its origin in Italy. One of the key players for its execution is Renovar a Mouraria, an association created with the purpose of giving local support and chosen for the curricular internship. Therefore, this report starts with a brief characterization of the neighbourhood nowadays, in geographic, historic and social terms and its multicultural origin, following a delineation of the place chosen for the internship within the associative spirit one experiences in Mouraria. Accordingly, these two points lead to the Migrantour project: firstly in the context of the trends of cultural policy developed locally and the promotion of ethnic tourism in urban space, analysing the concepts of authenticity and sustainability; then the project is considered in general terms and afterwards it is specifically analised in what concerns Mouraria. Finally, after describing the work undertaken during the internship, an assessment regarding the organizing process of the guided tours organized by Renovar a Mouraria is done, particularly on the matter of the project Migrantour.
