The present study stands in the field of visual literacy for children and its central motivation is the problem of the deficiency of creative inputs in the visual training domain at school age; The development of visual literacy is of utmost importance for the construction of a competent understanding of the look. The project we conceive aims to contribute to this construction and consists in the realization of a game whose objective is to stimulate the visual creativity appropriate to this age group from seven to nine years old. The game is based on the presentation of blots as inducers of image projection, and is presented in a book-like setting. A playful and pedagogical object is proposed, in loose cardboard pages that, due to its characteristics, works as a dynamic and interaction tool. The Blotting Game was created with the intention of contributing to the exercise childhood look when face of unusual images, such as abstract marks or forms without an obvious immediate sense. The theoretical basis of this study is guided by the work developed by Herbert Read (1982) and Viktor Lowenfeld (1970) in the field of visual and artistic education. Regarding the problems with representation and image theory, and in particular the relationship between abstraction and figuration, Alexander Cozens' blotting method (1787) and some graphic procedures of the surrealist movement (1924) were important specific references for the methodological foundation for this work. The research also examines issues such as perceptual abstraction, analysis of Rorschach cards, the question of ambiguity in Gestalt and in the theory of representation, identification of figures, the formlessness and their implications for understanding children's drawing. Finally, the application work report gives a description of the various practical aspects of the project development and executionpt_PT
