Este estudo intitulado “A Inclusão Profissional da Pessoa com Dificuldade Intelectual
e Desenvolvimental: da formação ao posto de trabalho” teve por principal objetivo: conhecer
o processo de inclusão da pessoa com dificuldade intelectual e desenvolvimental (DID) no
mercado de trabalho. Este objetivo foi operacionalizado nos seguintes objetivos específicos:
analisar o Programa de Orientação Profissional e Inclusão no Mercado de Trabalho Formal e
Informal desenvolvido por uma Unidade de Educação Especializada; conhecer o modo de
funcionamento das oficinas pedagógicas desenvolvidas por esta Unidade; analisar as
trajetórias acadêmica, formativa e profissional da pessoa com DID e discutir o contributo do
Programa de Orientação Profissional e Inclusão no Mercado de Trabalho Formal e Informal
desenvolvido pela Unidade de Educação Especializada para a inserção profissional da pessoa
com DID. A pesquisa de campo foi realizada numa Unidade de Educação Especializada
localizada na cidade de Belém, estado do Pará, no Brasil. A metodologia utilizada partiu do
enfoque qualitativo, a partir do qual foram desenvolvidas pesquisas documental e entrevistas
semiestruturadas com profissionais formadores da Unidade de Educação Especializada e com
trabalhadores com DID, alunos desta instituição formadora. A análise dos dados recolhidos
permite concluir que o programa formativo da unidade escolar contribuiu significativamente à
inclusão laboral dos trabalhadores entrevistados. No entanto, não foi possível conhecer o
funcionamento das oficinas pedagógicas e sua importância para a inclusão profissional dos
trabalhadores por questões relacionadas a pandemia da Covid-19. Verificou-se, também, que
os percursos acadêmico e profissional dos trabalhadores com DID revelam uma inclusão
limitada dessas pessoas no mercado de trabalho, pelo que ainda há um longo caminho a
percorrer para que a pessoa com DID vivencie um processo efetivamente inclusivo na
educação e no mercado de trabalho.
This study entitled “The Professional Inclusion of the Person with Intellectual and Developmental Disability: from training to the job position” had as main objective: to know the process of inclusion of the person with intellectual and developmental disability (DID) in the job market. This objective was operationalized in the following specific objectives: to analyze the Professional Orientation and Inclusion Program in the Formal and Informal Labor Market developed by a Special Education Unit; to know how the pedagogical workshops developed by this Unit work; analyze the academic, training and professional trajectories of the person with DID and discuss the contribution of the Professional Guidance and Inclusion Program in the Formal and Informal Labor Market developed by the Special Education Unit for the professional insertion of the person with DID. The field research was carried out in a Special Education Unit located in the city of Belém, state of Pará, in Brazil. The methodology used was based on the qualitative approach, from which bibliographic, documentary research and semi-structured interviews were developed with professionals who trained in the Special Education Unit and with workers with DID, students of this training institution. The analysis of the collected data allows to conclude that the training program of the school unit contributed significantly to the labor inclusion of the interviewed workers. However, it was not possible to know the functioning of the pedagogical workshops and their importance for the professional inclusion of workers due to issues related to the Covid-19 pandemic. It was also found that the academic and professional trajectories of workers with DID reveal a limited inclusion of these people in the labor market, so there is still a long way to go for the person with DID to experience an effectively inclusive process in education and training labor market.
