Abstract(s)
Com o desenvolvimento científico e tecnológico, no seu sentido amplo, o conhecimento tem se tornado obsoleto num período muito curto de tempo, exigindo uma aprendizagem contínua e permanente. Como é impossível prever o conhecimento que será necessário no futuro, torna-se indispensável o desenvolvimento de habilidades que ajudem as organizações a se adaptarem com facilidade aos novos modelos e às circunstâncias marcadas pela mudança, pela incerteza e pela complexidade. A presente dissertação pretende analisar o comportamento das políticas de estratégias empresarial, adaptadas aos objectivos procurados, face ao meio ambiente em que a empresa está inserida de acordo com o modelo de estudo proposto por Child e Smith (1987), complementado com o modelo de Pettigrew (1985, 1987, 1990) e o comportamento desta face às políticas. A essência deste trabalho está no resultado do confronto entre as políticas (teoria) e as suas adaptabilidades à realidade empresarial (prática) face ao contexto.
Nowadays people need to a continuously learning because of the scientific and technology changes taken place on our society. As we know it is quite impossible to predict what we must know to face the future. So it is necessary to develop know-how to help the firms get over the new challenges, uncertainity and complexity and new models that can came up on the future. This dissertation focus the behavior of firm policies to meet their objectives within the environment where the firm operates according to the model of Child and Smith (1987) and the Pettigrew model (1985, 1987, 1990), and focus also the changes that environment can makes within the firms. The analysis between the policy of the firms (theory) and their effect on the performance of the firms (practice) in the emphasis of this work.
