The main objective of this study relates to the application of factor analysis in the health area, through a database relating to a behavioral study on clinical/hospital service. With the help of the main components method, with orthogonal rotation and Kaiser normalization, it was detected three factors: relationship between patient and employee (Factor 1); employee satisfaction (Factor 2) and overall patient satisfaction (Factor 3). Estimating linear regression models, in each one of the three factors is the dependent variable, and as explanatory variables some information about the users questioned, it was concluded that: the increasing number of people in the household, worsening the employee/patient relationship and gives less satisfaction in both the employee and the patient; patients that work for others have a better employee/patient relationship and result in a lower satisfaction in both the employee and the patient, compared to patients without professional occupation; patients with university education originate greater satisfaction both on the employee and in patients compared to patients with at most basic education; patients with secondary education originate greater satisfaction in patients compared to patients with no more than basic education.
