| dc.description.abstract | A vida e obra do pintor Luís António Ferreira da Silva, mais conhecido na sua época como Luiz Ferreira das Taboletas, foram sistematizadas em 1993 numa obra fundamental da autoria de Teresa Saporiti que, desde logo, chamava a atenção para a necessidade de se confirmarem alguns dos dados então veiculados. O presente trabalho vem agora clarificar estes aspectos, concluindo, após comprovação documental, que se confundiram dois indivíduos distintos como sendo uma e a mesma pessoa. Mais do que isso, a investigação efectuada nos últimos anos, quer nos nos registos paroquiais, quer em outras fontes documentais que fundamentam este texto, permitiu esclarecer a identidade do artista, que permanecia incógnita, permitindo propor uma nova biografia do mais marcante pintor de azulejaria oitocentista português. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Luiz Ferreira das Taboletas: desconstruction and construction of a biography The life and work of the painter Luís António Ferreira da Silva, known in his time as Luiz Ferreira das Taboletas, were systematized in 1993 in a fundamental text by Teresa Saporiti. However, the author drew our attention to the need to confirm some of the information then presented. This work now clarifies these aspects, concluding, after documentary evidence, that two distinct individuals were mistaken as being one and the same person. More than that, the research carried out in recent years, both in parish registers and in other documentary sources that support this text, allowed us to clarify the identity of the artist, who remained unknown until now, allowing us to propose a new biography of the most striking Portuguese nineteenth century azulejo (tile) painter. | pt_PT |
