| dc.description.abstract | No âmbito da Empreitada de Construção do Sistema de Intercepção e Câmara de Válvulas de Maré do Terreiro do Paço, obra a cargo da SIMTEJO, foram identificados diversos vestígios arqueológicos que nos permitem conhecer melhor o local que foi, desde o século XVI, o centro político e social de Portugal. Durante a escavação observaram-se níveis de aterro depositados para a construção da Praça do Comércio logo após o evento sísmico de 1755, sobrepostos a níveis de ocupação relacionados com o antigo Terreiro do Paço, com especial destaque para um depósito composto exclusivamente por fragmentos de porcelana chinesa. Apesar de ter sido uma recolha parcial, pois o nível ainda se conserva em zonas não afetadas pela obra, registou-se e recolheu-se um conjunto de porcelana chinesa bastante numeroso, espelho da dinâmica comercial e do consumo das elites portuguesas da primeira metade do século XVIII. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | In 2009, the archaeological surveys developed in the Praça do Comércio (Lisbon) (SIMTEJO) uncovered a number of different archaeological realities that allow us to better understand this urban space evolution. One of the most significant archaeological remains identified was a post-earthquake (1755) landfill, exclusively filled with Chinese porcelain of the first half of the eighteenth century. Although only a part of the findings was recovered, there is still a large number of Chinese porcelain sherds to be studied, reflecting the Portuguese trade dynamics and the elite’s consumption during the first half of the eighteenth century. | pt_PT |
