Resumo(s)
The project we proposed to develop within the scope of this Master in Drawing, consists on the creation of an illustrated cultural guide of the city of Lisbon. The decision to choose for this topic came from our origins in Lisbon and therefore of our pre-acquired knowledge of the geography and history of the city and easy access to the places we wish to represent. The selected sites are mainly based on the works and experiences of renowned portuguese writers, including Eça de Queiroz, Fernando Pessoa and José Saramago. These three personalities who lived and wrote in different times and styles join their experiences in this guide represented through writing, with our own experiences represented by drawing. The drawings presented here are intended to be representations of the spaces in comparison with those made by the writers in their different styles and personalities. Through the creation of this guide we cover questions related to the concepts of drawing, graphic design, maps and literature, essencial issues for the development of this project and to express the versatility of the practice of drawing
