vista a optimização do tempo.
A paisagem passou a incorporar novas infra-estruturas e
mega-estruturas, de grande escala, que substituíam os
sistemas naturais e interromperam de forma contundente
as lógicas de continuidade do espaço natural e urbano,
gerando vastas quantidades de terrenos intersticiais
expectantes.
e ambiental do espaço público urbano e
sistema agro-produtivo tirando partido do sistema natural
drenante.
During the decades from the 40s to the 80s of the 20th century, cities accelerated the infrastructure process for greater effectiveness in the accessibility of people and goods, while envisioning time optimization. The landscape began to incorporate new large-scale infrastructures and mega-structures, which replaced natural systems and bluntly interrupted the logic of continuity of natural and urban space, generating vast amounts of expectant interstitial terrain. The consequence of this type of vision of progress is reflected today in the observation of the artificialization of the city's natural support, interfering in the environmental balances and consequent climate changes, such as the rise in temperatures and the accentuation of meteorological peaks, lags in the rainy season and droughts, but above all in the loss of the landscape and environmental quality of the urban public space and consequently livelihood in society. In this context, the Alcântara Valley in the city of Lisbon for presenting such features is the focus of this work, due to its size and the way it relates to the rest of the city. With this PFM, it is intended to investigate ways for an architectural requalification of the valley's image, as well as to explore its potential as an agricultural-productive system taking advantage of the natural draining system.
