Este artigo analisa as relações entre pesquisar, ensinar e aprender no processo de ensino aprendizagem da Matemática e na actividade profissional do professor. Dá também atenção especial ao conceito de tarefa, considerando o papel dos exercícios, problemas, investigações, explorações e do trabalho de projecto no ensino desta disciplina. Recorrendo a exemplos de actividades realizadas por professores de Matemática portugueses, analisa a actividade de aprendizagem suscitada por tarefas de exploração/investigação e discute as respectivas potencialidades. Finalmente, refere as condições ao nível da cultura profissional dos professores, com relevo para a colaboração e a dimensão associativa, que podem favorecer uma actividade de pesquisa sobre a sua própria profissional.
Descrição
This paper analyses the relationships among researching, teaching and learning in mathematics teaching and learning and in the teacher’s professional practice. It also pays attention to the concept of task, taking into account the role of exercises, problems, investigations, explorations and project work in the teaching of this discipline. Using examples from activities carried out by Portuguese mathematics teachers, it analyses the learning activity that was promoted by exploration/investigation activities and discusses their potential. Finally, it refers the conditions regarding the teachers’ professional culture, notably collaboration and associativism, that favour the activity of researching his/her own professional practice.
