Resumo(s)
From the earliest representations made by the human hand Art and Science have gone side by side. This symbiosis between the two areas always started from a main theme, the body, and a language, drawing, inherent and necessary to any artistic creation and intrinsically linked to the formulation of questions and hypotheses. Today, in the digital age, the figurative seems to present itself with a new vigor but, contrary to what has been happening till now, the representation of the figure is not limited to the mere mimesis of the body or portrait but rather to the finitude, impotence and simplicity of the human nature; in the relationship between bodies (that is, life in society and the concerns associated with it); in the relation of the Man with the new reality (digital, quick, restless). One questions the presence of these issues in the contemporary figurative drawing
