This research explores how the appropriation method influences the process of creating digital artifacts, with a specific focus on design, and with students as its target audience. This project aims to promote reflection on appropriation in design and its relevance in the creation of critical discourses, as well as to understand its cultural impact, always with post-internet culture as the backdrop. The research consists of collecting and analysing information on this topic, based on the premise that appropriation plays a crucial role in the design process. Appropriation is considered a little-explored topic, especially in Portuguese studies, despite being a practice increasingly present in our culture's daily activities. Given the topic's relevance, the research carried out is particularly significant for design students that have interested in it. The objective is, therefore, to aggregate and deepen knowledge about the relationship between appropriation and design, encouraging its target audience to reflect on the beneficial ways of incorporating appropriation into their creative process, also taking into account their previous. The investigation seeks to answer the following question: How does the creative process in graphic design impacted by the appropriation method?
