O ponto de partida deste trabalho é a constatada interacção entre o processo de mutação tecnológica e as novas qualificações. Com base num estudo empírico sobre a indústria portuguesa, apresenta-se uma análise dos "factores" e das "barreiras" inovação - nomeadamente os aspectos associados aos Recursos Humanos. Segue-se uma caracterização sintética dos "equipamentos e sistemas mais utilizados pelos estabelecimentos industriais". A conjugação destes dois tipos de análise permite perspectivar o papel dos Recursos Humanos no processo de inovação em diferentes contextos ou estádios tecnológicos (definidos pelos diferentes tipos de equipamento mais utilizados). Este é o objectivo principal deste trabalho
The starting point of this "paper" is the so refered growing interaction between technological change and new skills. First, based on an empirical investigation within the portuguese industry, an analysis of innovation "factors"/"barriers" is presented - namely, the key aspects related to the Human Resources development. The following topic ts a synthetic caracterization of "the equipments and systems most used by the industrial units". The connexion between this two approaches allows us to analyse the role of human resources in the process of innovation, in the context of differents technological stages (defined by the differents types of most used equipments). This is the main goal of this work.
