| dc.description.abstract | O tema deste trabalho é o estudo de quatro casos tradutórios, mediante a análise semântica das expressões chinesas a traduzir, e a problematização de traduções já existentes para língua inglesa (também algumas traduções para francês e espanhol), tendo em vista a determinação das melhores soluções tradutórias para português europeu.. São estes casos três termos e uma passagem, onde é comunicado implicitamente um quarto termo, que pertencem ao corpus do discurso político chinês dos séculos XX e XXI. As problemáticas emergentes do nosso confronto, numa perspectiva tradutória, com estes casos derivam do facto de estas expressões veicularem mais do que aquilo que possamos considerar ser o seu sentido estrito e essencial, tal como o podemos achar numa definição de dicionário. A compreensão do seu carácter problemático exigirá a introdução de uma abordagem teórica que nos permita possuir uma compreensão mais ampla do seu sentido. Esta compreensão é aquela que emerge de uma Semântica Cognitiva, enquanto disciplina central da Linguística Cognitiva, que nos fornece as ferramentas conceptuais com que empreenderemos a nossa análise. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Abstract: The theme of this work is the study of four translation cases, through the semantic analysis of the Chinese expressions, and the problematization of already existing English translations (also some French and Spanish cases), with the goal of finding the best European Portuguese translation. These cases are three terms and a passage, where a fourth term is implicitly communicated, which belong to the corpus of the 20th and 21st centuries Chinese political discourse. The problems that emerge of our confrontation with these cases, from a translational perspective, derive from the fact that these expressions convey more than what we could consider as being its strict and essential meaning, as we might find on a dictionary definition. To understand problematic nature of these cases, we will need to introduce a theoretical approach that will allow us to have a more comprehensive understanding of its meaning. This is the understanding of the linguistic meaning that emerges from the studies in Cognitive Semantics, which provide us with the conceptual tools we will use on our analysis. | pt_PT |
