O presente Projeto Final de Mestrado investiga a relação harmoniosa
entre uma preexistência e a contemporaneidade com o uso de
instrumentos da arquitetura tais como a materialidade, escala e
reconversão de usos, que influenciam a abordagem a projetos de
reabilitação.
A área de intervenção é o agora desativado Quartel de Lanceiros II, na
Ajuda, Lisboa, numa proximidade com grandes equipamentos
culturais, por exemplo o Mosteiro dos Jerónimos na zona ribeirinha e
o Palácio da Ajuda no topo da freguesia.
A proposta de reabilitação e construção tem como base um programa
que procura a nível urbano criar uma dinâmica de permanência na
praça, a reorganização de vazios dentro do complexo militar e a
definição de habitação jovem temporária e alguma permanente.
This Master's Final Project intends to investigate the harmonious relationship between preexistence and contemporaneity with the use of architectural instruments such as materiality, scale and conversion of uses, which influence the approach to rehabilitation projects. The intervention area is the now deactivated Lanceiros II complex, in Ajuda, Lisbon, in close proximity to major cultural facilities, and in between, for example, the Jerónimos Monastery on the riverside and the Ajuda Palace at the top of the parish. The rehabilitation and construction proposal is based on a program that seeks, at an urban level, to create a dynamic of permanence in the square and the reorganization of voids within the military complex. The definition of temporary and some permanent youth housing around the parade.
