A disseminação do conhecimento é essencial para o desenvolvimento da sociedade humana, constituindo uma rede de troca de informação, a nível global. Como principal meio de apreensão do conhecimento, as Instituições de Ensino Superior, condicionam a formação dos estudantes e o seu papel no mundo profissional e no futuro da sociedade.
O presente Projecto Final de Mestrado procura responder às necessidades de reconceptualização dos espaços de ensino-aprendizagem no Ensino Superior, abordando novas tipologias, a nível espacial e funcional, associadas à informalidade e à interacção social, como modo de aprendizagem, tendo em conta a realidade actual. É proposta a concepção de um centro educacional, o Educatorium, na Cruz Quebrada, Oeiras, na zona do antigo complexo industrial da Lusalite e Gist-Brocades. Um território caracterizado pelas problemáticas associadas ao vazio urbano, como elemento à margem da cidade, numa frente de água pós-industrial, em proximidade ao Parque do Jamor.
O equipamento universitário surge como articulação entre a temática associada aos novos espaços de aprendizagem e a intervenção numa frente ribeirinha, estabelecendo uma nova centralidade na cidade de Lisboa, que se pauta pelo equilíbrio entre a identidade do lugar e a influência da globalização na arquitectura.
The dissemination of knowledge is essential for the development of human society, constituting a network of information exchange at a global level. As the main means of apprehension of knowledge, Higher Education Institutions condition the training of students and their role in the professional world and in the future of society. This Final Master’s Project seeks to respond to the needs of finding a new concept of the spaces of teaching-learning in Higher Education, addressing new typologies, at the spatial and functional level, associated with informality and social interaction, as a way of learning, taking into account the current reality. It is proposed the design of an educational center, the Educatorium, in Cruz Quebrada, Oeiras, in the area of the former industrial complex of Lusalite and Gist-Brocades. A territory characterized by the problems associated with the urban void, as an element on the edge of the city, in a post-industrial waterfront, near Jamor Park. The university equipment appears as an articulation between the theme associated with the new learning spaces and the intervention in a riverfront, establishing a new centrality in the city, as a balance between the identity of the place and the influence of globalization in architecture.
