Tanto a arquitetura vertical como a hibridez têm um papel preponderante nas cidades modernas, uma vez que permitem que um número maior de pessoas habite e trabalhe num espaço relativamente pequeno e que exista uma acumulação e complementaridade de funções num mesmo edifício, respetivamente.
A estação rodoviária de Sete Rios, em Lisboa, trata-se de uma zona expectante que integra uma interface de transportes ainda em configuração definitiva. Esta, além de se caraterizar como sendo uma zona bastante atrativa, também revela uma necessidade de requalificação.
Como tal, propõe-se desenvolver um edifício vertical híbrido nesse mesmo local, que resolve a questão urbana e compreende um programa complexo de comércio, serviços, cultura, habitação e hotel, além de resolver a interface de transportes.
Both vertical architecture and hybrid buildings play an important role in modern cities, since they allow a larger number of people to live and work in a relatively small space and allow an accumulation and complementarity of purposes in the same building, respectively. The Sete Rios bus station, in Lisbon, is an expectant area integrating a transport interface still in final configuration. This, besides being a very attractive area, also reveals a need for requalification. As such, it is proposed to develop a hybrid vertical building in the same location, which solves the urban issue and comprises a complex program of commerce, services, culture, housing, hotel, and also resolves the transport interface.
