A presente investigação tem como objectivo perceber como o Centro de
Formação Profissional de Alverca, CFAL, operacionaliza as políticas de
emprego e formação profissional, conhecer qual é o percurso de um
desempregado, desde o Centro de Emprego, até iniciar um curso no Centro de
Formação, bem como, caracterizar um grupo de formandos desempregados,
sem formação superior.
Num primeiro momento, pretendeu-se enquadrar teoricamente o objecto de
estudo, incidindo sobre a temática da Educação de Adultos, assim como, sobre
as políticas nacionais e europeias de formação e emprego.
A metodologia de investigação utilizada foi do tipo qualitativo. Efectuou-se um
estudo de caso do CFAL tendo-se realizado várias análises documentais e um
inquérito por questionário, aplicado a 284 formandos.
Do estudo realizado, constatou-se que o CFAL não tem uma participação
activa na definição das políticas de emprego e formação, é no essencial um
executor de políticas definidas superiormente e que a formação desenvolvida
ainda tem subjacente características do modelo escolar.
Analisado o percurso do formando, desde o Centro de Emprego até ao Centro
de Formação, concluiu-se que o tempo médio decorrido é superior a um ano.
O grupo de formandos analisado caracteriza-se por perpetuar as baixas
qualificações académicas dos respectivos progenitores, por predominar o sexo
feminino e por uma vontade expressa de melhorar o nível de qualificações,
tendo como objectivo último a obtenção de novo emprego.
The purpose of this investigation is to understand how employment and professional training policies are implemented at Alverca's Center for Professional Training (CFAL), get to know the route taken by an unemployed person, from the Unemployment Center upto the start of a training course at the Center for Professional Training, as well as characterize the group of unemployed people without University Degree. Initially, the intention was to theoretically fit the object of this study by focusing the theme on Education of Adults, just as National and European policies on training and employment. The methodology used in this investigation was of the qualitative type. A case study was made of CFAL. by carrying out several documentary analysis and an inquiry through a questionnaire to 284 trainees. From this study, it was noted that CFAL has no active participation in outlining employment and training policies, essentially it just implements policies outlined by superiors and that the training has underlying features of the school model. By analyzing the route of the trainee, from the Unemployment Centre upto the training centre, it was concluded that the average time elapsed is more than a year. The group of trainees analyzed is characterized by perpetuating low academic qualifications of their parents, predominantly female and by a will to improve the level of qualifications, with the ultimate aim to obtain new job.
