e
), (2) e o
GHQ-12 –
Questionário de
Saúde Geral (Goldberg & Hillier, 1979), ambas aplicadas
online ou presencial. A amostra
tarefas e objetivos a
alcançar.
Introduction: Teamwork brings to organisations a potential value that allows them to be more effective and competitive in the market through increased collaboration, cooperation, positive interactions, autonomy, creativity and commitment to tasks and goals. With regard to research on teams, there is a discrepant number of studies on effectiveness processes compared to individ ual well-being in teams ( Alcover , 2014). Purpose: This research aims to study the role that teamwork plays in worker well-being through social climate, moderated by satisfaction with coworkers. Procedure: For data collection, the following quantitative mea surement instruments were used: (1) ESCO - Organizational Climate and Satisfaction Scale ( Chambel & Curral , 2000), (2) and the GHQ-12 - General Health Questionnaire (Goldberg & Hillier, 1979), both applied online or face-to-face. The sample consists of 223 2 employees from the 24 directorates of the Municipality of Lisbon. The SPSS programme was used in the data analysis to apply the bootstrap method and ascertain the moderating effect of satisfaction with coworkers on the indirect effect of teamwork on well -being, by means of the social climate. Findings: The results obtained provided support for the positive effect of teamwork on employees' well-being, and the partial mediation of the social climate in this relationship. Additionally, the results showed tha t, contrary to expectations, the direct effect between social climate and well-being is stronger for lower values of satisfaction with coworkers. Conclusion: The results reinforce the importance of teamwork, and that it serves as compensation when there is no proximity and/or satisfaction with coworkers, allowing one to focus on the tasks and goals to be achieved.
