The mapping of landslide scars is an important tool to understand the spatial distribution and conditioning factors behind these processes, thus permitting the assessment of main landform characteristics associated to their triggering. Therefore, the aim of this work was to conduct a morphologicalanalysis based on the landslide scars map for two catchments in the municipality of Antonina (PR), that were affected by landslides in 2011. The landslide scars map was elaborated by coupling literature data with fieldwork investigation, whereas the definition of slope angle classes, contribution areas, slope curvature and sections were determined by means of a DEM (Digital Elevation Model). In both catchments scars were concentrated on slopes between 20° and 30° and, regarding the contributing area, within the Log 10(m²) 1.7-2.1 class, corresponding to approximately 56% of the scars in BHBB and 49% in BHL. The concave curvature profile as well as the lower and middle thirds of the slope concentrated the higher occurrence of scars. Results also point to a variation between scar perimeters of quoted literature data and those found by this research. This discrepancy may compromise final percentage distribution of morphological parameters and their linkage to landslide frequency.
