Being conscious of the inevitable permeability of contexts and of the educational practices to the changing nature of the world, we would like to reflect on the ways these are influential in the science teaching, in particular in experimental work (EW), in an era dominated by Information and Communication Technology (ICT). According to a qualitative research methodology the study is driven by the following research questions: is there a new understanding of the Science teaching, in particular of EW, in this era of ICT, i.e., what are their possibilities (advantages and disadvantages) wifli the predictable development of technology and how the future science teachers perceive them? How to plan EW from the perspective of a contemporary understanding of the interrelations of the Science, Technology and Society, with the use of ICT, with impact on the conceptions of science student-teachers? The study involved six science student-teachers at the end of their Pedagogical Practice. From an analysis of the content of the interviews we found their EW-ICT conceptions. We planned a teaching proposal, which was validated for the theme "Plants in sustainability of life" in order to make evident aspects to consider in a teaching proposal where EW with the use of ICT is central. The proposal was presented and discussed with the student-teachers in a workshop. This was followed tíy a questionnaire with the intention of analyzing their impact in the conceptions of the student-teachers. The results of the study showed that, by the end of the Pedagogical Practice, the conceptions of the student-teachers had taken on a more technical nature aspects. After the workshop new advantages were noticed, associated with the areas of education and teaching, showing concerns with the student's standard of learning. MDIX The teaching proposal revealed as an innovative and positive contribution in the conceptions of the future teachers about the possibilities of EW using ICT. They realized that this combination enriched EW and enhanced the educational potential of Science teaching.
