O presente trabalho entrega-se à leitura e investigação do conceito de vilegiatura, enquanto tentativa de resgatar ou reconfigurar a ideia original de fuga ao urbano, considerando a importância de uma fruição de “bons ares” e a possibilidade redentora para a conflitualidade entre o individuo e o pressionante contexto vivencial da cidade.
Metaforicamente, e à vista da aceleração implicada na vivência metropolitana, a natureza simboliza a possibilidade de uma higiene mental. A mesma sugere um processo de cura e, nesse sentido, o espaço natural intervencionado pela arquitetura sensível à experiência de uma particular “atmosfera” torna-se chave para a imaginação, conducente ao referido processo de reabilitação da condição humana.
Acima do Homem ergue-se a montanha, enquanto lugar subliminar adequado para ensaiar um retorno a uma experiência contemplativa, uma fruição na dependência dos sentidos. A Serra da Estrela, em particular, serve-nos de cenografia para um exercício de projeto, em fecho de ciclo, que procurará sugerir uma alternativa ao veraneio estival, constituído aqui através da relação de um imaginário de luz – sombra, água e ar, materializando a tentativa de (re)inventar um programa termal.
The present work commits to the reading and investigation on the concept of villégiature, as an attempt to redeem or reconfigure the original idea of escape from the urban, considering the importance of “good air” fruition and the redemptive possibility for the conflict between the individual and urban experience context. Metaphorically, and from the perspective of the acceleration implied by metropolitan living, nature symbolizes the possibility of mental hygiene. It suggests a process of healing and, in that sense, the natural space, intervened by an architecture sensitive to the experience of a particular “atmosphere”, becomes key to imagination, leading to the referred rehabilitation process of human condition. Above Men rises the mountain, as subliminal place adequate to rehearse the return to contemplative experience, a fruition under dependency of senses. Serra da Estrela, in particular, suits us as scenography to a project exercise, at cycle closure, aiming to suggest an alternative to villégiature, here composed by the relationship between an imaginary of light - shadow, water and air, materializing an attempt to (re)invent the thermal program.
