Compete à biblioteca escolar constituir-se como um recurso básico do processo educativo,
assumindo um papel nos domínios da aprendizagem da leitura, literacia, criação e
desenvolvimento do prazer de ler e aquisição de hábitos de leitura, competências de
informação e aprofundamento da cultura cívica, científica, tecnológica e artística.
O presente estudo que teve como principal objetivo perceber quais as potencialidades das
ferramentas da Web 2.0 na dinamização das bibliotecas escolares. Foram para esse efeito,
constituídas as seguintes questões de investigação: a) de que forma os professores
bibliotecários integram as tecnologias de informação e comunicação, nomeadamente os
recursos da Web 2.0, nas atividades das biblioteca escolar?; b) que tipo de recursos da Web
2.0 se revelam particularmente interessantes na dinamização das biblioteca escolar?; c) que
tipo de dificuldades encontram os professores bibliotecários no processo de integração das
tecnologias de informação e comunicação e a que estratégias recorrem para superarem essas
dificuldades?; d) quais as perspectivas dos diferentes atores sobre a integração das
tecnologias de informação e comunicação nas bibliotecas escolares?
Nesta investigação, de natureza qualitativa, participaram, a nível nacional, seiscentos e
noventa e sete professores dos mil quinhentos e sessenta e nove bibliotecários em exercício
de funções nas bibliotecas escolares, do ensino oficial público, integradas no Programa da
Rede de Bibliotecas Escolares, constituindo a população total e a mesma foi inquirida nesta
investigação.
Para responder às questões foi utilizado como método de recolha de dados um questionário
aplicado aos professores bibliotecários.
The school library's mission is to constitute a resource for the learning process, playing a leading role in the areas of reading and literacy, creation and development of the pleasure of reading and of reading habits, information literacy, citizenship, science, technology and art education. The main objective of this research study is to understand how Web 2.0 tools can be used to enhance the work of school libraries. Therefore, the following research questions were formulated: a) How do teacher librarians integrate information and communication technologies and namely the Web 2.0 tools in the school libraries activities?; b) Which of the Web 2.0 tools are particularly interesting for the work of school libraries?; c) What kind of difficulties do teacher librarians face when integrating ICT and what strategies do they use to overcome those difficulties?; d) What vision do the different actors have on the integration of ICT in the school libraries? In this qualitative research we had the participation of six hundred and ninety seven of the one thousand five hundred and sixty nine teacher librarians, working in public school libraries integrated in the School Libraries Network Programme. The instrument used to collect the data was a questionnaire answered by these teacher.
