Esta investigação foi desenvolvida no âmbito do mestrado em Educação do Instituto de
Educação da Universidade de Lisboa, numa Escola Básica do 1º Ciclo EB1 Nº2, com o intuito
de estudar em que medida a aplicação de um projeto de promoção de sucesso escolar, neste
caso o projeto TurmaMais, contribuiu para o sucesso escolar dos alunos.
Para o desenvolvimento do estudo, recorreu-se a uma metodologia de investigação do tipo
estudo de caso, de carácter qualitativo, descritivo e interpretativo, tendo como participantes os
docentes envolvidos no projeto TurmaMais da escola em análise e os EE (Encarregados de
Educação) dos alunos participantes no programa. Para o processo de recolha de informação, as
técnicas, de recolha de dados, utilizadas foram a entrevista semiestruturada e o inquérito por
questionário. Os dados foram recolhidos em meados de 2018.
Os resultados indicam que o projeto é uma mais-valia tanto para os alunos como para a
restante comunidade educativa, concluindo-se que contribuiu para a melhoria da adequação do
ensino e do desempenho escolar dos alunos.
This study was carried out as part of a master’s in Education at the Institute of Education of the University of Lisbon. It took place at an elementary school EB1 Nº2, with the purpose of analyzing the implementation of a project designed to promote pupils’ academic achievement, the TurmaMais project, and it’s contribution to their academic success. For the development of this inquiry, a qualitative, descriptive, and interpretative case study research methodology was used, having as participants the teachers involved in the TurmaMais program at the school and the parents of the students participating in it. For the information collection process, the data collection techniques used were the semi-structured interview and the survey questionnaire. The data were collected in the first half of 2018. Results showed that the project added value both to students and to the rest of the educational community, indicating that it contributed to the improvement of teaching and students' school performance.
