Os desafios lançados aos sistemas educacionais em decorrência da revolução digital ocorrida
nas últimas décadas no que se refere a integração das TIC no ambiente escolar, abrangendo
como um todo os processos pedagógicos relacionados ao ensino, aprendizagem, avaliação,
currículo e a gestão escolar, evidenciam a relevância do papel do diretor escolar na promoção
das práticas educacionais inovadoras, participativas e incentivadoras de transformações
sociais contínuas. Neste sentido, a presente investigação buscou aprimorar o conhecimento
científico na área de domínio das TIC na educação, colhendo evidências que nos ajudassem a
responder a seguinte questão: Quais os níveis de utilização das tecnologias digitais nas
práticas cotidianas dos diretores escolares na gestão escolar? O estudo o assumiu um design
empírico-quantitativo, tendo decorrido no contexto da Rede Municipal de Ensino de
Florianópolis (RME), localizada no estado de Santa Catarina, Brasil. A população alvo da
investigação é conjunto de diretores das unidades educativas da RME, sob gestão direta da
Secretaria Municipal de Educação de Florianópolis. Para recolha de dados, adaptou-se para o
contexto brasileiro, a escala de utilização das tecnologias digitais na gestão escolar de Piedade
e Dorotea (2021), tendo está sido aplicada no segundo semestre de 2022 e respondia por 71
diretores de uma população total de 123. Os resultados apurados indicaram níveis elevados de
utilização das tecnologias digitais nas práticas dos diretores escolares, com excepção na
dimensão Avaliação. Não se verificaram diferenças estatisticamente significativas associadas
a variáveis de caracterização dos respondentes com a exceção dos fatores relacionados a
maior titulação acadêmica e temporalidade pós-formação inicial.
The challenges posed to educational systems as a result of the digital revolution that has occurred in recent decades with regard to the integration of ICT in the school environment, covering as a whole the pedagogical processes related to teaching, learning, assessment, curriculum and school management, highlight the relevance of the role of the school principal in promoting innovative educational practices, participatory and encouraging continuous social transformation. In this sense, the present investigation sought to enhance scientific knowledge in the area of ICT in education, gathering evidence that would help us answer the following question: What are the levels of use of digital technologies in the daily practices of school principals in school management? The study assumed an empirical-quantitative design, taking place in the context of the Municipal Education Network of Florianópolis (RME), located in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. The target population of the research is the set of directors of the educational units of the RME, under direct management of the Municipal Education Secretary of Florianópolis. For data collection, Piedade and Dorotea (2021) scale for the use of digital technologies in school management was adapted for the Brazilian context. It was applied in the second semester of 2022 and answered by 71 principals out of a total population of 123. The results indicated high levels of use of digital technologies in the practices of school principals, with the exception of the dimension Evaluation. There were no statistically significant differences associated with respondents' characterization variables with the exception of factors related to higher academic degrees and temporality post initial training.
