O presente relatório decorre da realização de um estágio curricular, no âmbito do
Mestrado em Educação e Formação, do Instituto de Educação da Universidade de Lisboa,
na área de especialização de Organização e Gestão da Educação e da Formação. O
documento reflete o percurso desenvolvido no local de estágio: a Direção-Geral da
Educação, do Ministério da Educação, designadamente o percurso desenvolvido na
Direção de Serviços de Desenvolvimento Curricular desta Direção-Geral. Para além de
se caracterizar a organização e de se apresentar as atividades desenvolvidas no decorrer
do estágio, constituiu-se como tema de investigação, no relatório, o trabalho de um gestor
de topo da administração educativa e o tipo de liderança que o mesmo considera exercer
com a sua equipa. As técnicas de recolha de dados utilizadas no estudo foram a pesquisa
arquivística, o inquérito por entrevista e por questionário e a observação, sujeitas a análise
de conteúdo. A investigação permitiu compreender tratar-se de um gestor cujo trabalho
se pauta pela grande diversidade de papeis desempenhados, de entre os quais se destaca
o de líder, motivador e empático, preocupado com a motivação dos colaboradores.
Acresce ainda a variedade das tarefas desenvolvidas, a nível nacional e de relação com as
escolas, bem como o envolvimento em projetos internacionais, que contribuem para
acentuar a complexidade do cargo.
This report is the result of a curricular internship, within the scope of the master’s in education and Training, the Institute of Education of the University of Lisbon, in the area of specialization of Organization and Management of Education and Training. The document reflects the internship developed in a Directorate-General for Education, of the Ministry of Education, namely in the Directorate of Curriculum Development. In addition to characterizing the organization and presenting the activities developed during the internship, the report also included a top manager's work the manager's work and the type of leadership he thinks he uses with his team. The data collection techniques used in the study were, in addition to archival research, interview and questionnaire and observation, subject to content analysis. The research made it possible to understand that the manager’s work is guided by a great diversity of roles played, among which stands out his role as a leader, who motivates and is empathetic, who is concerned with the motivation of employees. It is also worth noting the variety of tasks developed, at national level and in relation to schools and involvement in international projects, which contributes to heightening the complexity of the position.
